Orlando has long been one of the most popular holiday destinations in the United States. There are so many attractions to enjoy here and so much to see and do. New attractions are popping up every year, and here are five of the most exciting new attractions to arrive in Orlando this year that mean now is a great time to book another trip.

1. Fun Spot America Orlando

Orlando is home to some of the biggest and best theme parks in the world. Fun Spot America Orlando may not be the biggest, but it is certainly worth a visit. Now it has two new rides after its expansion opened in June 2013. This consisted of a Skycoaster and two roller coasters, one of which is a wooden one called White Lightening.

2. Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin

If you want to book your vacation rental in Orlando and take in the latest and greatest experiences offered this year, one of the big new attractions to discover is ‘Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin’ at SeaWorld. This unique attraction will take you on a journey to Antarctica, where you will discover the world of penguins at the same time as enjoying a thrilling ride. It’s the most expensive attraction in the park’s history, and is not to be missed.

3. Space Shuttle Atlantis Exhibition

NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is one of the most exciting attractions in Orlando, but now it is better than ever after the Space Shuttle Atlantis Exhibit opened in 2013. This incredible space shuttle, which was retired from duty in 2011 after 33 missions to space, can now be witnessed up close, and it is a true sight to behold. The exhibition is an absolute must for anyone with an interest in NASA’s work.

4. Transformers: The Ride – 3D

This new ride at Universal Orlando Resort is a must for fans of the films. The special effects are incredible, and you will find yourself involved in a huge battle between the rival transformers. It is housed inside a five-story building, and is reason alone for re-visiting this top theme park.

5. Princess Fairytale Hall

The Magic Kingdom recently expanded New Fantasyland with the Princess Fairytale Hall, which opened in September. Here you will find Rapunzel, Cinderella and a host of other Disney characters in a delightful meet-and-greet that is sure to prove a big hit for youngsters who will get to see their favorite characters up close.

New Attractions Are Always Opening in Orlando

These are just five of the most exciting new attractions to open in Orlando in 2013. But remember, new attractions are opening all the time here. For example, in 2014 the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will open at Universal Studios, complete with Gringotts Wizarding Bank and Diagon Alley, which is sure to be the biggest attraction of the year.
