The Taste of Vail
This event is one of the nation’s most popular food and wine festivals and takes place from April 3-6. Held at several venues throughout the ski resort, around 5,000 people regularly enjoy the village as it showcases the region’s top world class restaurants. Winemakers and winery owners share the best wines from around the globe. Also featured are an auction, dance, interactive seminars and a picnic extravaganza. The Colorado Lamb Cook Off crowns the event at the top of Vail Mountain.
The Vail Film Festival
The Film Festival features the best in independent cinema and takes place from March 28th – March 31. Festival activities include screenings, panel discussions, galas, live music and a filmmaker reception. Visitors and film enthusiasts may mingle with aspiring filmmakers to get an inside view of the cinematic process.
The Korbel American Ski Classic
From March 20th through 24th, this classic is when skiing icons and sports and entertainment luminaries join with the business world to celebrate on the Vail slopes. The event combines the thrilling professional and amateur ski racing communities with a wide variety of entertainment options for people of all ages. The Gorpo Mountain Games
These games occur from June 6th through 9th celebrate adventure sports with music and art featuring professional and amateur athletes from all over the globe. Visitors may enjoy the exciting Vail river as competitors compete in 9 different sports from over 25 disciplines for in excess of $100,000 in prizes. Events include:
- Steep, sprint, freestyle and full contact rafting and kayaking
