No matter where a person lives or his/her walk of life, one of the main enjoyable thing about summer is vacation. Perhaps it is the week or two off from work. Or maybe it is the freedom of not having to get up at the crack of dawn. Whatever it is, it is the one thing that keeps most people going through the year.

4. Stroll through San Francisco

While it is no secret that a famous side dish is dubbed the” San Francisco treat”, this area has more than rice going for it. No one can go to this city by the bay without riding the famous cable cars. If a person looking for an antique treasure, then the Treasure Island Flea Market would be perfect .
Perhaps it is the mild climate that attracts people during the year. This area has strong cool currents from the Pacific Ocean which give it mild temperatures There is so much to do, one needs to make sure to schedule ample time for it.

The most famous thing in San Francisco is the Golden Gate Bridge. To visit this area and not see the famous bridge would be a tragedy. This bridge has been in movies, school books and conversations for decades.

5. The City that Never Sleeps-New York

New York is like no other city you will visit. There is a diverse culture that has something for everyone. The first stop on most people’s itinerary is often the Statue of Liberty or Ground Zero. After having a historical moment, one should head over to Times Square. Times Square is a major intersection through Manhattan that hosts most theaters in town. The best time to visit this area would be during holidays when the New Year’s Eve celebration brings in millions.

Perhaps it is the restaurants, the museums, the rich hotels or the luxurious style of living that make this area so popular. Millions are still enjoying a vacation to “The Big Apple”.

6. Trip to the Mountains: Denver, Colorado

Denver has been noted as one of the best places to live in America. So, it would make sense that many people vacation there. This city is popular for its conservation and “green” living. Don’t be surprised to see many people riding bikes instead of cars.

7. The City of Angels: Los Angeles

If you are hoping to bump into someone famous or see some places where they shop, then Los Angeles is the place to vacation. This thriving metropolis is the second largest city in America (after New York City). Tour Hollywood and see some of the famous studios and the landmark Hollywood sign. You may even want to do some shopping on world-famous Rodeo Drive. The US Bank Building, in downtown Los Angeles, is the tallest building west of the Mississippi.

Because of the weather in this corner by the Pacific Ocean, Seattle is also known for its giant evergreen trees, which is why some call it the “Emerald City”. There are many shops and restaurants from which to choose. While down town, a traveler can go to the top of the famous Seattle Space Needle that lines the Seattle skyline. There is also the Woodland Zoo and the Seattle Art Museum.

9. Luck be a Lady: Visiting Los Vegas, Nevada

Most hotels on the Vegas strip have their own casino for the vacationer to be a high roller. You will be awed at the majestic Bellagio Hotel and its famous water shows. A family may catch a famous singer’s show or tour the grand Madame Tusadde’s Wax Museum. Have fun at the Cirque de Soliel in the breath-taking Marige Hotel. There are sites for all ages and interests.
