I’ve been there myself. Thailand is a beautiful country. There are so many places to see and the food is just so good.
If you ever decide to travel to Asia, drop by Thailand and visit its top 3 tourist spots.
- Bangkok. This is Thailand’s capital and one of the busiest cities in the country. This thriving metropolis is an interesting mix of the old and new. You can find high-rise buildings and hotels in the city centre. Yet you can also find historical sites, old buildings and traditional markets in the area. This unique blend of the East and West has added to the capital’s charm. You’ll also be able to visit many tourist attractions within the city such as the world’s biggest crocodile farm, King Rama II Memorial Park and the famous Floating Market. And if you love shopping then you’ll definitely have a great time here. Bangkok is a popular shopping spot for avid shoppers and boutique owners because of its affordable and intricately designed clothes.
- Koh Lanta Yai. This means Big Lanta Island in English. This island can be found in the Koh Lanta disctrict and is famous for its white sand beaches, pristine waters, mysterious caves and diverse aqua-life. It has quaint one-story bungalows right on the waterfront with paths leading towards the cool blue waters of the beach. While Bangkok is known for its bustling atmosphere, Koh Lanta Yai is more laid back and mellow. If you want to get away from all the city noise then this is a place where you can kick back and relax.
- Wat Pho or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha is also another famous tourist spot in Thailand. This temple is known all over the world for having the largest number of Buddha figurines and images and also for having the biggest Buddha. The Buddha is gold plated and is 15 meters high and 46 meters long. When I first saw it, I was amazed. It just seemed to dominate the entire temple. The temple grounds are filled with more than 1000 Buddha images. There certainly is a lot to see. But if you get tired, don’t worry, you can opt to have a traditional Thai massage for only a minimal fee.
